The outlet was a bustling scene with innumerable customers gathered around the counter. The shopkeeper, armed with a rough sheet, was expertly calculating costs and making bills with remarkable precision. It’s always fascinating to see how these shopkeepers remember all product costs and know exactly how much to reduce prices based on the volume being bought by customers.

Customers lined up even for a single bottle of Coke, which speaks volumes about the crowd this shop attracted. The beauty of this customer pull was purely word-of-mouth (WOM) advertisement. Each visit revealed scores of people queued up, waiting to purchase something.

I’ve always been an ardent believer in the power of WOM as a promotional tool. One critical factor to note is the shop’s location, which plays a pivotal role. Imagine if this outlet wasn’t centrally located in the heart of the town but rather in the outskirts. Would the WOM promotions still generate the same kind of traffic? I doubt it.

A simple photo of a crowded restaurant with happy customers or a great deal can go a long way. Create a hashtag specific to the outlet to track and engage with customer posts.

Consistent quality and pricing:
Maintain consistency in product quality and pricing, essential components of effective branding. Any discrepancies could lead to negative word-of-mouth, which could be detrimental. Consistency builds trust and reliability among customers.

Community involvement:
